9 Day Affordable Victoria Falls & Hwange National Park Safari

Day 1 - 2: Arrive Victoria Falls and transfer to Bayete Lodge  (2 nights)

On arrival in Victoria Falls you will be met and transferred to Bayete Lodge. This is a really good value for money guest house about 2.5 kms from the town centre. Family owned and operated it offers very personal service at an affordable price.

You will have this afternoon and the whole of the following day to relax and enjoy all that Victoria Falls has to offer.

Option: besides visiting the world-famous falls, boat cruises on the Zambezi, village visits and scenic helicopter flights are just a few of the activities available to you at an additional cost. Day 3 - 5: Transfer to Ivory Lodge near Hwange National Park (3 nights)

Your African safari adventure begins this morning with your transfer from your hotel to Ivory Lodge. This is about a 2.5-hour drive.

Ivory Lodge is located just outside Hwange National Park. It is a 15 minutes drive from the main park entrance gate making it very easy to go into the national park to do game drives. In addition, they have their own private concession which can also be used to undertake game drives. Ivory Lodge offers superb value for money and an authentic safari experience at an affordable price. The lodge is famous for their resident presidential herd of elephants which are often seen in the area or even within the grounds of the lodge! Aside from this the waterhole which can be seen from the lounge area and most rooms, attracts a multitude of animals.

Enjoy the next 3 days doing morning & afternoon game activities. These include game drives & walking safaris.

Day 6 - 8: Transfer to Bomani Tented Lodge near Hwange Park (3 nights)

Today you will be transferred by road to Dete station where you will board the unique Elephant Express train which will bring you to Bomani Tented Lodge.

This Lodge is located just outside Hwange National Park in a secluded area. This means there are very few other vehicles in the area making the game drives very peaceful and exclusive. It is also close to the superb Ngamo Plains- nicknamed the 'Little Serengeti' by the local guides.

Activities include game drives & walking safaris. In certain months you can also spend time in the look up hide overlooking a waterhole. During the dry season this offers some of the closest elephant encounters you will ever have. Cultural tours are offered as well.

Day 9: Transfer to Victoria Falls

Today you will transfer by road back to Victoria Falls. It is about a 4-hour drive; an early morning start would be required if your onward flight is early in the day.
