A Whole New Experience
Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport to West Kilimanjaro
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will be greeted by your driver-guide. From here, you will drive to West Kilimanjaro. On your journey, you may have the opportunity to spot wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, and elephants. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at Olpopongi Maasai Village, where you’ll immerse yourself in the traditional Maasai culture.
Day 2: West Kilimanjaro
Spend the day and night at Olpopongi Maasai Village, sharing 24 hours with the native Maasai people. Activities include a museum and village tour, a traditional Maasai lunch, and a walking safari through the Maasai territory. Learn about Maasai hunting techniques, natural medicine, and enjoy an evening program featuring Maasai ceremonies, a campfire, and a BBQ. Experience a unique and unforgettable evening under the Tanzanian starry sky, and spend the night in your private Maasai house, sleeping on a comfortable cow-hide bed.
Day 3: West Kilimanjaro to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park with a packed lunch for a game drive. The park is renowned for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Later, you will drive to Karatu for an overnight stay at Maramboi Camp or a similar property.
Day 4: Tarangire National Park to Mto wa Mbu to Lake Eyasi
After breakfast, drive to Mto wa Mbu with a packed lunch. Enjoy a village walk and gain insight into the homes and crafts of Mto wa Mbu’s diverse tribes. You’ll have the opportunity to meet locals and learn about banana beer, Makonde woodcarvings, and tribal painting techniques. Afterward, continue to Lake Eyasi for dinner and overnight accommodation at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge or a similar property.
Day 5: Lake Eyasi to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Start the morning with cultural activities with the Lake Eyasi tribes, including a hunting tour with the Hadzabe tribe and a visit to a blacksmith’s workshop. After lunch, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a packed lunch. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge or a similar property.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Serengeti National Park
Enjoy a morning game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, known for its rich wildlife and stunning landscapes. The crater is home to the "Big 5" (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and rhino), and huge herds of wildebeests and zebras are often seen during their annual migration. After your crater tour, drive to Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at Serengeti Serena Lodge or a similar property.
Day 7: Serengeti National Park
Experience a full day of game viewing in Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is famous for its abundant wildlife, including lions, hyenas, antelopes, buffaloes, wildebeest, and elephants. Your guide will take you to the best locations for game viewing, and you will have a packed lunch during the day. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge or a similar property.
Day 8: Serengeti to Kilimanjaro International Airport
After a final breakfast in the Serengeti, enjoy one last view of the wilderness from your room before proceeding to Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport. From here, you will catch your onward flight home.
