Day 1 - Arrival & pre-climb briefing at a Moshi or Arusha based lodge

Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport. Meet And Greet and transfer to Moshi. Direct arrival at a lodge in Moshi at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro (if climbing Kilimanjaro after Meru) or at Arusha. This evening you will have a pre-climb briefing with your guide and a consultant.

Day 2 - Moshi or Arusha based lodge to Momella Gate to Miriakamba Huts

Drive from Moshi to Momella gate, complete park formalities at the gate, then start your trek. This day is sometimes referred as a “walking safari” you may encounter wild animals such as giraffe, antelope, zebras etc. An armed ranger from the park will accompany the group.

Day 3 - Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut

Your day involve a short but very steep hike along the ridge of the saddle. Upon arrival at the hut you may hike Little Meru for acclimatization right before your summit trek. If cloudless you may see the view of Mount Meru Crater and Ash tray.

Day 4 - Saddle Hut to Socialist Peak to Miriakamba Hut

You will start your summit trek around midnight through a steep trail to Rhino point (3800m) then to Cobra point (4350m). You will then scramble on a rocky ridge between Crater and inner cliff of Meru. You will reach the summit at sunrise with spectacular views of Mount Meru Ash tray and Mount Kilimanjaro. Descend back to saddle hut and later to Miriakamba hut for your last night on the mountain.

Day 5 - Miriakamba Hut to Momella Gate to Moshi or Arusha based lodge

Begin your final descent to Momella gate, today you will hike through a forest where it is likely to encounter wild animals. After a tipping ceremony at the gate our driver will transfer you back to Moshi or Arusha for your overnight stay.

Day 6 - End of our services after check-out.

After breakfast transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back to home.
